Stuck on bold

I really don't understand the problem with the edit menu. This is bold because I selected bold "not here" but on a post at my forum. I can't unbold it. What I really don't understand is how there can be a problem with something that has been perfected - for years. Every editor on earth works. Just copy it. If it was a beta feature I'd see how bugs could show up. Sometimes my text is tan. I can't select a font and have it continue throughout the page. I can't select something and delete it.

I hardly ever complain about stuff. Especially free stuff. I usually just drop whatever isn't working and find something that does. But - I don't want a great big forum like phpBB3, I had it. I got rid of it. I just want a text editor to leave messages and ideas in. One that people can see and respond to or leave there own ideas.

So here's the deal. Fix the editor. I noticed down below there is a little box (pre selected) to publish this to Facebook. I'm sure you don't want this on facebook so I'm going to de-select it. But it makes me wonder - why is it pre selected?

What I want is for you guys to be able to sell the forum to people and be successful. So I'm giving you the heads up about the editor. Like I said, it's already done - already written and perfected. OK I'll hang in there for a while and see what happens.
