Can't edit my own posts as admin
Do you have any browser ad ons that might be causing a conflict? Is javascript enabled? Can you try on a different browser, say Firefox if you're using Internet Explorer.
I'm a mod and I should be able to edit at any time,
but when I try to edit posts after 15 mins it comes up message edit time over or somethiong like that
but as a mod, I should be able to edit it shouldnt I?
Only Admins can Edit, Moderators do not have that option.
mods used to be able to as well
As far as I could remember, mods never had the ability to edit their own posts after 15 mins.
Only admins do.
wow weird cause ion my forums u wer3e able to edit posts made as a mod for any amount of time
I can edit my own posts here as a Mod...
You probably have the right granted Co. Jack. The issue of granting mod right of Edit was brought up earlier this year by me and after much discussion the answer was no full edit right for Moderators. This has caused me to make all the Staff on my Forum Admins so they have the right to edit their own posts (Note: No one has edit rights for posts not of their making). Not happy about that for many reasons but it is Lefora policy concerning Moderators.
Not sure if the posts in Support on this are still about but you might search for them
If this has been changed by Lefora than I am very pleased. I expect Chief will have to confirm that it is indeed the new standard.
yes, as coloneljack tested very well (thank you), mods can edit their own posts on lefora, just like admins.
That is fantastic. Thank you for the change.
Doesn't work. I try to edit posts from yesterday and it says 'Time limit has expired.'
Well back to the starting gate. That is what was the case before, with the edit being displayed, but the time running out for Moderators just like regular members. Quite the discussion on it as I mentioned and Lefora pretty dead set against providing it. That is why I had my doubts that anything had changed. Oh well.
Bump. Still not working.
If I'm understanding the problem correctly, then I think I just fixed it.
Let me know.
