Deleting a Forum (Not Abandon)

I don't want to keep on personally bothering Chief (keep on sending him PM's) so I'm posting instead.

I have an old forum that needs to be deleted because it is confusing my new members. I can only abandon the forum but the only reason there have been new posts on the forum is because people got confused with the address. It is frustrating my users because they are having to double post and I know Im getting traffic in there when I wanted in the other.

I have prove that my members got confused and thats the only reason there are new posts.

What can I do?

I really need this deleted as soon as possible before I start getting new members in the wrong forum.
