video ads that have been added
when you "changed the placement of ads" you added the video ads that rerally slow down the forum loading. I use my Blackberry for tethering a lot and have seen MANY times where the site will not even load but the video add keeps loading to the une of as much as 20 meg or more. changing the "placement" I can see but the video ads reaslly suck. These are costing me money with my cell server. I even have my anti-virus program now giving me alerts on a couple of the spyware that are loading now from my own forum.........
As I see it to get rid of these I need to pay almost $240.00 a year here or go else where. But if I stay here and pay almost $240.00 a year will I still have the spyware loading in the background?
If there was spyware on the forums, I'm sure at least one other person would have noticed....
As for the ads - the choice is yours, I'm afraid.
One of our top priorities for our 80,000+ forums is security. If you have anti-virus software or anti-spyware software notifying you of something on a site, it's possible that there is a virus on that machine or that there is a 3rd party widget (not lefora) embeded in a lefora forum causing a problem. We do not have any current complaints of spyware problems on forums from other members.
As for the ads, I am not aware of any add being 20mb. If you have an add that is 20mb, please email me information on the ad (screenshots and file size) to 'chief -at- lefora.com'
