Email of members in Admin panel.

email addresses now show in Forum Admin > Members

I see. lol I did notice that and wonder if that is such a great idea. After all, many of these forums are run by ordinary people. Be thankful you aren't on my list, Coloneljack! Haha!!

One should always practice some care of revealing personal information on the 'net. Being anonymous through the use of User names and Avatars is very minor protection and really should not be relied upon. Email addresses used to be no problem until the Spammers became so prevalent. Many sites have available your IP which can be used to find your ISP and thus to you. If the Authorities, or even a dedicated hacker, wants they can find the computer that you are surfing with. Many have tried that, it must have been someone else using my computer defense, with rather little success. Just like real life, anonymity exists simply because no one much cares who we are.

The big issue is whether your email address contains your name (could defeat the identity you are assuming for a particular Forum). Mine does because when setup years ago I did not care that it did. I still do not care since my name is not uncommon.
