Should Lefora have lockable threads that require a password?

I think that they should instead of us having to create a new forum to keep some things private.

As you're not a member of a forum, it's academic.

Yes I think Lefora should have lockable threads that require a password.

I agree with coloneljack.  If one is not a member of a forum, all threads are actually locked up to guest-posting unless the admin allows it.

If the admin sets up his forum to allow only members to be able to post (w/c I think what majority of admins do) then its academic as coloneljack mentioned. The power is already given to the admin.

Also, members who chooses to not log-in are also barred from posting (all threads locked up for "guests") if the admins sets his forum to members-only posting.

Now, if what you guys are thinking is for an admin to lock-up a thread so that only select members can post via the use of a special password then I think that will be counterproductive, specially on a public forum.  Might as well go for a private forum if that's the case, or a private forum category within a public forum (which many admins are requesting already).
