Creating A Drop Down Menu On Sidebar
Hi,
I want to add a drop down menu on the sidebar. I have a couple of sites that will help me generate it but it seems to be in a code format not supported by Lefora.
Does anyone have any ideas.
I want the sidebar item to take up little space and basically say Quick Jump Menu and then when the visitor clicks on it, it drops down a menu.
I know lefora has a web links item but if I have 10 - 20 items to add, they will al be listed on the sidebar, taking up a lot of space.
Thanks in advance for your help.
I'm guessing that code is javascript, and for security reasons, we don't allow javascript.
One thought, is maybe you could use topics to help defer some of the links, so let's say you have 10 links on different fruits, and 10 links on different meats, you could just list two links on the sidebar (Fruits & Meats), and have them linked to a locked topic that you created, which has the sub-links you want to offer). (p.s. can anybody tell that it's around lunch time over here :P)
If anybody else has any creative ideas, please post here.
Thanks for the idea. Have a great labor day weekend.
One more question froom a lay person. Can you explain how javascrypt code creates security issues. I'm not questining you, just want some knowledge.
Thanks.
a search for malicious javascript on google returns a few articles

Forum Admin>Appearance>Sidebar> Highlight the item by clicking on it. In the right panel you will find the controls of the Sidebar Widget and a Delete action.
Forum Admin > Appearance > Themes
might be a dumb question
