hi, you can't change the forum's starting page at the moment, but that's a feature we may offer in the future.
If you're worried about categories confusing your members, it might help to only have a few categories in your forum, i noticed half your categories have 0 topics. This can be confusing to new members. We recommend only having a few categories, and as they get really active, breaking off new categories, here's more info:

you are right but its my experience that if user see topic instead of categories they will contribute more
just one more mouse click is hurting my forum!
