My idea for lefora promoting

Last night I could not sleep do to the fact that all my college classes got dropped because of $ issues....thats another story but while I was trying to sleep I started thinking about how hard it has been for me to get views and members on my new boxing forum. Looking around the web I found a site that had a good idea for free promoting of sites and forums but their own traffic is low so it makes it hard for it to work...the idea is great though. After thinking about it in bed I came up with a similar idea for the lefora team and family (us) to work on. I was going to PM this to Chief but instead I'm writing it here for everyone to see and comment on so that we can all agree on something (if lefora is willing).

Ok here we go

A friend told me (forum member) the other day to make a link from my old active and healthy forum (roundtable.lefora.com) to my new boxing forum (trt-boxing.lefora.com) because he wanted an easy fast way of getting to the boxing forum. My old forum is a forum were only 6 people are active because I ended up leaving it just for close friends. The forum has 6 people active but we are still ranked #118 on lefora. The reason is because of all the information on the forum we get tons of views from google and what not. Ok so I went and did a link looking more like an advertising here it is

Now what I noticed 45min after I posted this image/link on the old forum was that I had already gotten 12 clicks on the link. I then contacted the 6 active users and none had even logged in within those 45min, these clicks were coming from people just out of search engines and other sites.

Now here is were that promotion site comes in: before all of this happened I was looking for a way of promoting the new forum and stumbled upon an interesting site. What the site does is sign up people for free, this people leave their web address and an image of their site. Then they give you an html code that you have to post on your site. How this works is that this html code is kind of like a rotating image javascript (different every time you refresh the page). These images are the logos and names of different sites that have signed up to this page. When you sign up your image and address gets posted on this database of sites. Every single person that signs up must put their html code on a visible place on their site so everyone gets an equal share of free advertising.

Now here is what I was thinking (you probably have an idea by now), what if we could get every single lefora forum to have an add like this. That would mean that everyone would have an equal chance of free advertising on 84k+ forums. Im not saying lets all sign up to that weird page..no Im saying lets make this for lefora...another plus for users in lefora. The reason I mentioned my forum stats is because as you can see not only lefora members would be joining and viewing you forums with this advertising but also people from all over the web....when they are seeing your forum they might read or see that add about another forum and BOOM!

The hardest part of forums is advertising and getting views/members but if we could do this for free as a team effort lefora would become even bigger because people would like to create a forum that they know will grow.

As of right now Lefora has 84,675 forums and in the last 30 days Lefora has had 1,566,240 visits and counting so by the time you are reading this that number will be hundreds higher maybe thousands. If you are wondering were Im getting this from here is a link (http://www.lefora.com/stats/).

Sorry for writing so much and maybe this is a stupid idea but just something that came up and I think could work.
