Lefora bogs down and freezes browsers, requiring closing and restarting constantly.

Every time I brows lefora pages, including simple support forums they bog down to point of freezing my webbrowers ( opera and i.e. both ) consistantly. 
I do not experience these issues with other websites, and am consistanly experiencing this after joining and starting to build my lefora forum today, every 5-20 minutes lefora freezing my browsers to point I have to wait for my computer to allow me to close all browsers down and restarting them. 

Something is buggy with lefora as it is only when i visit lefora sites this is happening so frequently and consistantly. Even when I visit and open many youtube pages videos that does not happen. Only when reading even just a few lefora support forum pages.

Help?

Might be Lefora though I am not experiencing the same thing as you. What version of Flash are you running? Not to mention your OS and versions of Opera and IE. Do you have Java running? (I am using FF 3.0 with Flash 9 and JAVA 1.6)

edit: Should mention that I am running openSUSE 11 though I know predominantly the people coming here use Windows and IE and I have not heard any other slow down/freeze complaints this weekend. The lefora folks will sometimes stop by on the Wkend but most likely you would need to wait for office hours (see sidebar).

I experience a similar problem with newest edition of Firefox. It doesn't happen so frequent though, as for aaron. Suddenly the whole browser freezes and get non-responsive. It is impossible to switch between tabs but I can switch to other windows programs and they run fine. Firefox will not be closed down so I have to open task manager and shut it done that way. I would say this happens on average one time every two hours. And it only happens if I have a lefora forum open.

i know firefox has had issues with flash slowing it down in the past.  if you forum has flash widgets on the sidebar (the support forum does), that may be causing the issue on firefox.

I notice there are no Flash widgets on Aaron's forum. However, there is a LARGE amount of categories. I remember Breezey used to have the same problem and she had lots of categories too.. connected?

i just loaded http://martialneigongpracticepartners.lefora.com/ on safari on a mac and it loaded fine. However, having a large amount of categories could slow down your forum.  It also might be slow at first, when everything needs to be cached, then speed up overtime.  I seems to be loading quite quickly for me.  If you notice it staying slow on your webbrowsers, please let us know.  Also, find out how it's loading for your members.

I am not sure it is connected. I have that problem only with Lefora sites. Many others have said the same. There are times it is better and then it gets really slow again.
Members were saying the same thing.

I have had the same problem with locking in one place and the like ever since the new ad changes.I got rid of everything I had added because they suggested it had something to do with something I may have added but it made no difference...I can no longer use my AT&T tethering package to get to the forum since the ads were changed because of the lock ups.......
