Help please! Unable to ban spammer on my site

I have a spammer on my site. I have followed the instructions in my admin pamel which tell me to warn him and that the option ban should appear. It never appears. So, last night after warning him several times in my attempt to get the ban option to appear, I finally just removed him as a member and I deleted the post. Now he is back with a vengence and has posted all over my site. Yet I still cannot ban him.

Please help. I would rather not change my settings to approved members, but I will if I have to.

Thank you,
Deborah

Are you clicking on the dropdown menu next to the member's name?

Yes, I was. Strangely enough, after I typed this question, I went back and chacked and now the banned option appeared. How odd! I am glad it was there, though. I have a feeling that the person is going to join under another name, as it appears to be a challenge to this person to attack my site. Grrrrrr.....

You need to refresh the page before the options appears...

Is it sorted now...?

Oh, I definitely refreshed that page multiple times. Even closed the window and brought it back up. I guess it is working for now. I decided to change the membership to requiring approval (sigh). It is still public, but my members requested that I do this because this is a medical support site and they desperately love their forum.

Thanks!!

At least you'll be able to spot the obviously fake email addresses that spammers use....
