I had a member suggest that it would be helpful to have a way to find posts from a certain amount of time in the past. So, if she knows the post she wants is from January, she can click something that will take her to posts in that category from January.
MSN had something similar where you could click "one week back," "one month back," etc and it was useful and more efficient than constantly clicking "older posts" or the page numbers, especially in categories that are very popular.

Not sure if this works, but seeing as the date of posting is mentioned in the footer would searching for "January 2009" or such work?
