I don't get mad at new Lefora additions often but a new flash banner at the bottom of my forum now appears and is annoying my members, potential new members and me. It's causing pop-ups and the forum (http://saverschoice.lefora.com) 5 minutes to load and is unacceptable.
The ads also cause my computer to stall.

Lefora claims that it doesn't allow javascrypt on forums but it doesn't care about adware ads, pop-ups, etc.  This is TERRIBLE.

I hope this is just a test.  Please remove thsi add from my forum now and in the future.

It seems as if you're using some ad network that allows inline, or in-text type of system.  These networks are known for adware and spyware which is why it surprises me that Lefora has decided to compromise its stric policies for thsi parasyte type of ad.

I'm sorry for how mad I'm comign across but this is a low for Lefora.

Thank you for your feedback.

We are testing out another adnetwork by http://www.videoegg.com/  The ads load after the forum is fully loaded so it should slow down your forum at all.  The ads are not showing for all members as we're currently in an experimental stage trying out this ad network.

And to be clear, the ad isn't a popup, it requires a person to rollover the ad and leave their mouse on it for a full 3 seconds before the ad appears.  Which is different then popup ads, which are the ads that open a new window when you click on a link.

Thanks for your reply but it is slowing down the load time of my forum which never occurred before.  The problem:
When a page loads slowly, you tend to try and use your mouses scroll button, then the ad at the bottom jumps around and you end-up hovering over the ad and a flash player then opens up and a video starts playing.

On one occasion, 3 new windows popped up.  I had to run my spyware and adware remover and it found 5 threats that have never occured.

I know Lefora is concerned about security and this seems to be a major security threat and not worth the hassle.

Besides it's extremely annoying.  I had 3 potential members tell me they refused to join a site that had ads like this.  They had choice words for me.

So I make a plea for you to ditch videoegg.com.  The problem with video networks (I've been an affiliate marketer for 6 years) is that video ads haven't been perfected and are extremely annoying and sluggish.

I think you ahve to choose between potential quick revenue or destroying a brand that is right now the leader in its industry.

Yes, folks, right now there's nothing like Lefora but I hope they're not lured by this video ad network.

I've personally dropped 24 sites this year as they went to simialr style ads. 23 of those sites lost 85% of their membership in 6 months time.

Chief, it's really not worth it and I can tell you that from my first couple fo hours trying to deal with this threat to my forum and computer.

We just introduced this ad network this evening so we'll be better able to look into the problems you stated on Wednesday. We only introduced it to a small population so that we could test it outt. We do not wish to tarnish the lefora brand nor the brand of admins and their forums. Ads help support the server costs, maintance, and security upgrades of each forum.

As for the spyware you mentioned, I would assume that's something else, but if you can email me any details I can look into that as well: chief -at- lefora.com.

Thanks for your response Chief.  Sorry if I came across as being rude.  I love Lefora and want to see it keep its rightful place atop the forum world.
