Hey guys,

Just wanted to say we know your working hard on fixing things.  We really appreciate the free forum you provide us over at Horrorclassics and the endless technical and general support.

Thanks again
Ratibor,
Horrorclassics Admin.

Okay, so this is a known issue. Glad to see I'm not going crazy.

It's been 2 days already with the image problems. . I have not seen 1 response from the support staff here addressing our complaints, and I've looked everywhere for a phone #. Seems they have chosen to make it impossible to speak to a live tech support person. That is a very bad sign.  I think we've made a huge mistake hosting our  forum here... 3 days as a new customer, and two of them have been nothing but a headache.

Our forum celebrates one year with lefora this month and it is thriving.   We have had excellent support over the time from them, moreover, they go the extra mile.  If your forum is three days old, have some patience.

The image server has acted up once or twice before (as all servers may do).  I have no doubt that they are not answering every complaint about the image server issues because they are hard at work trying to fix it and not wasting time responding to redundant complaints related to the server.

I suspect tho, with only three days old, it is hard to know where/how to find things here, or in your own forum, for that matter.  Hang in there and be patient.  All will be fixed as soon as possible (speaking from experience with this software) GOOD LUCK with your new site too!!

PS nope Killn, your not alone.  we all be avatarless together!

Our forum too is celebrating its one year anniversary with Lefora. I would also like to say to be patient Artis, the team here are wonderful, supportive and they get things fixed as soon as is humanly possible for them to do so.

We too are experiencing these 'bugs' above, and the attachments issue too but I know the team here at Lefora will have it fixed soon.

Its not effecting anything except the overall "look" of the forum so who cares really lol... its like my forum is just having a bad hair day!   Wish the Lefora team could fix my bad hair days as quickly as they fix our forum's ones LMAO..

Anyway.. patience is a virtue & good free help is hard to come by these days... grattitude is the most powerful currency there is :)

That's fair enough, but sometimes new members aren't patient, and if you invite them to join your site only to have all sorts of problems, the chances are many of them won't come back. I appreciate that the guys and gals at Lefora work very hard to fix the issues as and when they arise, but it seems like they arise ever more often lately, and it can be a little tiring coming on here and hearing loads of people saying it's all cool and Lefora is wonderful, so just chill out dude, OK, ect, ect...

Nothing personal against you, mind, so I hope you don't take it as such, but some of us here have every right to be annoyed, I feel. And people saying how wonderful it all is here when things are clearly not as they should be gets very annoying.

For example, if you're a public forum then it's probably no big deal if members get sick of the technical gremlins and leave, as there'll always be a stream of new members, but if you're a small private forum, then the effects of lousy servers on your forum can be quite profound...

Sorry, but I'll quite happily be very vocal about what I like on here, but the flipside of that is that I'll be equally vocal when I'm not happy, as I'm expressing the views of my forum membership as well as my own private opinions.

Fossilmagnet,

First off, good luck with your forum!  We too started small and are now private.  As the admin and chief fix everything person, I know how frustrating it can be when the software acts up.

My point was to ask people to be patient, read the posts before making more complaints.  Lefora, i'm sure is just as invested in keeping things working as we are.

It sounds as if you may be having more than the normal troubles.  We went through some really annoying bumps over at horrorclassics and I can say that coloneljack and mattb4 were very helpful.  When you have isolated what troubles are forum specific and not this server issue, try them over at "hack your forum".

Everything is back to normal for us now. Hope all is sorted out for you too.

I have complained for the first time here. I should not have as I also know the staff at Lefora is trying. I have given atta-boys numerous times. I am sorry about my annoyed statement now.
I know for certain chief ans colonel jack do their best for us.
Ratibor is correct in stating - they will fix any problems if they know what they are.

I'm sure the guys appreciate the support.

One thing to bear in mind is that this isn't a faceless multinational... there are just six guys that have to keep the server hamsters fed... wink

Ding ding! Round 5? It must be round 5 by now, I reckon...

Anyways, yet again our users can't seem to upload images unless they cut and paste off the internet. Is anyone else having image upload issues...?

Gethin

ps. Cheers Rabitor! :-D

So, basically it's like this:

It's the start of the forum weekend for us (friday night), and for the third weekend in a row what should be our peak time is looking more like a ghost town. People are logging in, seeing that the survers aren't doing their job properly again, and then buggering off...

What on Earth has changed over the last month...? We've never had problems this bad on such a regular basis before.

And more importantly, does that mean our forum is going to be screwed for yet another whole weekend...???

Yes, at psdcentralen.lefora.com we also have these problems today. When uploading avatars they just disappears. No error message or nothing. Has been like this for many hours now.

Thanks guys for letting us know of the problem.  The issues have been fixed, it may take some time for things to settle but they have been fixed.

Don't know if this is related but I am unable to send group email today.  I get a "take it easy you just sent one" yet, none have gone out today.  I did however, successfully send one yesterday. ?  This has never happened before so I'm wondering, is there a glitch.  Is there a limit to how many go out in a week?

thank you

I meant , I would like to learn about the topics on lizard king's site but have a long way to go before I get there.

We've lost group emails again.  I get a "take it easy you just sent one" message yet none have been sent today.  Our avatars are still coming and going (not such a big deal ) but not being able to keep members up to date is tough.

Thanks for all the hard work

For the past couple of days no one can see my chat messages (chatango box on lefora) on my Wyld Lefora website.  Below is the link.  Other people can chat with each other.  I'll write something, press enter, my message will be there that I can only see, but no one else can, when I refresh the webpage, my message is gone?  Like it never existed.  What's up with that?  Can someone help me?  Is there a bug with Chatango chat box when on a lefora site?  Please PM me.
