I am disappointed with Lefora
I started a new forum last week and have had problems - I have emailed 3 times to ask advise and nobody from Lefora has emailed me back. I now have a spam member who has joined who has caused problems on the forum - the pictures are not showing up and it is running slow.
CAN THIS PLEASE BE SORTED OUT AND CAN I HEAR BACK FROM SOMEONE

hi, why don't you just ban the member that is spamming your forum??
There is a problem with imaging...everyone is having the same problem, not just you. Patience is a virtue
I've had my forum for almost 2 months now and the team are always quick to sort the problems. They'll be working on this today I'm sure![]()
OK I can understand if everyone is having problems but I have politely emailed 3 times to ask for help and advise and have NOT heard back - now that is EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING
Keep in mind, since everyone's experiencing the same issues, they've probably received several thousand emails over the weekend.OK I can understand if everyone is having problems but I have politely emailed 3 times to ask for help and advise and have NOT heard back - now that is EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING

ban the member, go to admin panel, when there, click on members. scroll down to members name, look over to the right of name, WARN . reload page then BAN (lefora has a 'warn first" built in so you have to warn, reload page then ban if they're someone you want to get rid of without a warning. there is also a notice at top of admin that will say if spam is coming up just click on it and spam will be removed. GOOD LUCK
Ive had a forum under lefora (http://www.lifehousenation.com) for just under a year, and the team has always been helpful. KEEP IN MIND that its a team of 6 guys taking care of over 80,000 forums. so things WILL go wrong here and there. just be patient. post polite messages and things will get to you.
Thank you ratibor.
Well my forum is almost back to normal...woo hooo. Thanks so much to those hard working computer guys and gals.
Yay - I'm back!
I can't access my messages now
I guess it'll just take awhile for all to be back to normal.
Congrats Coljack!
You know what they say, timing is everything. Lefora usually runs as smoothly as butter, no lie. You just hit an off-week. As far as not yet getting a response yet, if you only joined last week and emailed 3 times, you are only adding to their burden. I have 10 years experience running the same forum, which I moved to Lefora nearly a year ago. Hands down, Lefora is the best host I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Your patience will be more than rewarded.
Many issues you may have as a new site can be resolved simply by inquiring with the other members on this board. As far as a spam member on your site, simply ban them from your forum. You can do this after you "warn" them, then reload your screen, and choose ban from the dropdown menu adjacent to their name on the member list.
I've been hear for nearly 7 months and I love Lefora. Like every company they have the occasional hick-ups and as quickly as I am to moan about it, they've figured out the issue.
Chief is an extremely patient person and takes pride in making Lefora what it is. FYI, there are over 89,000 forums here.
I had a simialr issue with a member spamming my forum and not adhering to my rules. I warned the member and then banned them.
My question to anyone is:
When you ban a member, does it ban their IP address and prevent them from signing up with a different username?
When you ban a member, does it ban their IP address and prevent them from signing up with a different username?

No. It bans by email address.
No. It bans by email address.-coloneljack
Thanks.
I too am having a message problem, just started today. Only, I just cant send a global email. All other message features are working properly. I wonder if its related. Odd thing is, it worked fine yesterday. There seems to be some sort of lag as the message is get is "you just sent an group email " even tho none were.
Well, our global emails started working again but today, the same problem cropped up. I cant send global emails. because I get a 'take it easy, you just sent one" message' even tho no group emails have been sent. Our avatars are fluctuating again too but this is no real hardship. Not being able to keep are members up to date is tho.
On a good note, we are almost at 1000 members
