In a muddle with two forums
I set up a forum a while ago for one website. I have just set up a new forum thinking that it would be a separate account but I seem to have one account and the two forums are linked. The user name I have makes no sense with the second forum and everyone can see from my profile that I run another forum.
This would not matter I suppose except that the first one is a private forum and the second one isn't. Now anyone using the second one can access the private one via the link in my profile. Maybe I have missed something but I cannot have the second forum running in this way - I need them completely separate or to revert to just the one.
So, can I delete just the second one without affecting the first one? I did not want to delete it and find I have lost everything. I presume that if I go into new forum and follow deletion instructions it should only delete that forum - but then I only seem to have one account, so I need to double check first. I think it should be made clear with a warning that when you set up a forum and already have one going, you cannot have another username. Or, you should advise choosing an initial username that is non-specific to allow for use with several forums if need be.

If you'd like these two forums to be separate and be an admin for both you can create a new user and appoint that user as an admin/founder. You can do this in the admin panel.

Many thanks, I will try that. Can I still delete individual forums in an account without affecting the others? I am pretty sure I can but it is always best to make sure.
I think I know what I did wrong now. I had forgotten that I was still logged into my account when I set up the second forum. Presumably if I was logged out and started a forum, it would be set up as a new account.

Yes, you can delete individual forums. Go to forum admin > members and remove everyone except yourself. Then Forum Admin > Settings > Setup and select Abandon or Delete forum at the bottom of the screen.
Unless you use different browsers (not two instances of one such as IE) or log out, the cookie on your present browser tells Lefora who you are. This can cause you problems if you run as separate users at differing Lefora Forums since you would need to first log out as one than log back on as the other.
