Adding new member who was previously denied membership to private forum
Our forum is private, and I had someone who created an account and asked to join, but I denied her membership when she did not write back with more information (basically there are requirements to be a part of the group and I have to make sure they meet the requirements before accepting) and several weeks had elapsed.
After I'd denied membership, she finally wrote back and has the correct criteria to join our group, but since she's not a pending member anymore, I don't have a way to accept her.
I suggested she resubmit an application to join, but here's what she said:
when i go back to the website to 'Join Now' it says that my email is already registered and tells me to log on. When I log on using my old username and password it says that my account has been removed from the forum. Any suggestions on where I go to resubmit an application? :)

What should we be doing here in order to get her on our board? I know she could reapply with a new email address, but I'm trying to save that as a last resort since I know she wants to use this one.

The member you mentioned should be in your members list at the very end of the list with a "banned" status. This is done so an individual wouldn't constantly pester an admin about membership. In the banned list just change her status and you will be good to go.
Thanks for the reply. Makes sense, but I think I'm having trouble finding the "banned" members. I've gone into the admin panel and get to my list of members, but this person isn't at the end (no pending members I've denied seem to be here). I also looked through all of my members (just 140, so not hard to do), and I don't see her there, either. Everyone in my list, on every page, has a status of "member."
Any further suggestions? I appreciate the help!
I have eleven banned members on my list and I'm pretty sure I did them all personally. My stats show I have 19 banned members though...
At the bottom of the main page of the admin panel, it tells me I have four banned members. (Which I think is right. I'm the one who denied all of them.) Even when I click on that link, it takes me to the main member list and no banned members are listed anywhere.
I still have no members listed with a status of banned, so I can't find this member who wants to be part of the group. Any suggestions aside from creating a whole new account for her?
