Is there a way to delete a category and it's posts?, by seearebee

I was playing about and testing how to add something to my forum, I added the url for an image and had either not added a topic name or just a space and now I cannot get into that topic to delete it or edit it, it simply opens a page with the jpg in the left hand corner, not within a message!

I thought the way round it was to delete the category (which is just one I use myself for testing things), but it insisted I move all of my topics from this category. This means that I can't get rid of this post I really need to get rid of!

Please help!

Is someone hacking in to my forum?, by shepherdess

On my sidebar my newest member at my forum was "ifucktocome".  This person does not show up on my member list on the forum front page or in my Admin list of members, so I can not remove them...but indeed they have a profile, when you click the name.  I want them off my forum...how do I get rid off them?

Also, my blog feed is getting caught in the Spam filter...how do I fix this?  it didn't used to...I was wondering where my blog feed was going....it is being filtered in spam.

they should be able to vote and view results after voting.

as for the poll on your sidebar, it's not configured 100%, you have to go into your admin panel and edit the 'poll widget' to select a poll from the drop down.

usernames are global across lefora, so if you use 'eeb' on your forum, nobody else can use them on other forums. I just like email addresses on hotmail or IM names on AOL.

I would assume your members are trying to use some common usernames that are already taken, the error screen isn't very clear about this at the moment and we'll have it fixed soon. I would suggest telling them to try a username a little more unique or append a number to their username.

lindawoolliscroft, you can upload music files (less then 20mb) directly into a post on lefora.

Please provide a link in this topic to a thread where you uploaded an music file that's disappeared so I can investigate.

I just started a new forum and already having problems.

It's going to be a private forum for just a couple people. But they can't even join. Every time it says that the user name is invalid. I've tried as well and it's the same thing.

what's the deal? is everyone who uses this forum part of the user names? I figured the user names would be specific for my forum. am i wrong?

that might be a bug around logging out and back in that started yesterday. We'll look into it.

Have you been able to figure this one out? I also access the forum through Operal Mobile on my smart phone and this banner pulls up every time I change screens even during the same session. Please advise.

It's a video player for Paralympic Sports TV... They only have iframes. It's the International Paralympic Sport Committee's effort to spread awareness of the game, and their efforts. If our discussion go as I hope, I may become the first FAN to be allowed to show my support in being able to use their player, and also some footage to make event announcement videos. http://player26.narrowstep.tv/assets/players/3206/html/player.html That's the site, the player I want to use is a small version of the large one on that page. Oh, well... I guess I can tell my contact that iframes are not supported. That flash is and see if they might have a flash based player as an option. Thanks for the reply, Spinergy PS: the link is actually not to anything presented online, and is hosted by a server the IPC uses to support their remote video players. I think it gives them better control over who and how they are used.

Poll - Viewing Results, by nkoa

I created a poll on my new forum for the first time. Creating the poll was easy to do. However there are two problems.

1. Users voting in the poll can click their votes, but get no response. They don't know if their vote was counted or not.
2. I cannot find how or where to view voting results.

Should members get a repsonse when they vote that indicates the vote was accepted?
Should members and administrators be able to view voting results?

So far I have discovered that with some forums to provide sound there has to be a link to a sound file stored in an external server. Some forums provide direct uploads. I understand this to be the case with this forum which is why I chose it. I am a site designer for the site in question. The client would like the simple option of direct uploads.

I have checked up on one I posted yesterday and it is still there and plays fine?
