For some reason I am unable to edit members posts. What gives??

I don't edit them often, only if there is certain "language" which is not appropriate for the forum. Help!!

I find it cumbersome to delete messages at this time. I have to open old messages before I have the option to delete them. It would be helpful to have a check box next to the messages, which allows several of them to be deleted at once.

How do I remove the "Sticky" label from a post another member has made?? It seems that I can't even edit those posts. Any help?

I tried that feature, but nothing ever happens. The screen gets that gray overlay, but that's it.

Chief, it appears that it is all the pages. At times we get an error message, stating that "page 409" can not be found.

I have noticed that dial-up users of the forum, just as myself, have to wait for a very long time, sometimes minutes, for the forum to open. But broadband users have the same problems at times, yet not as frequent as the dial-up users. It seems that it mainly happens in the afternoon. That also sometimes causes the pages to freeze. Is that something that has been caused by the changes? We never had those problems before.

That's the one. One post hogs up all categories, which is a nuisance. If there would be a way for the administrators of the forum to keep a handle on that, that would be great. I don't want to edit the posts or their contents. Just want to be able to either delete them if they are hogging up all categories, and them being gone for good, not even showing in the categories anymore after deletion. Also, I'd appreciate if there is a tool where the admin. can move posts from one category to another if they are in the wrong place.

It seems that the member posted the same in all categories. Yet I can't edit the post, had to delete it. I can't edit any post as I used to. What gives?

As I log in to the forum this morning I noticed that one post / reply is posted, or so it appears, on all categories. This is a post which has been made about 10 hours ago by one of my members, but as I click on the response, it takes me to only the one post he actually responded to. Yet it still shows up as if it has been posted at the same time on almost all categories. Bug or glitch?

I use Photobucket for pictures that I want to post on any forum. But for whatever reason, it does not work on my forum anymore. All it shows, after I copied the HTML code onto the post, are red x's where the pictures are supposed to be. Any advise? Also, the Recent Posts widget is still messed up. Only the first post appears as it is supposed to be. All others are scrambled and read from the top to bottom.

Is there a way, in the current theme we have on my forum, to add a couple of images to the forum layout? Something to the effect of a box on either side of the topic line, where images can be inserted. This would make it somewhat easier for potential new members to recognize the forum and it's content. Thanks!

I appreciate your quick response. My members like to use those smileys and I will inform them of your advise. There still seems to be a problem with the "Recent Posts" bar on the left hand side. Except the latest post, all others are scrambled and read from top to bottom. Is there a way to get that fixed soon? Also, as I have stated above, the other administrator of the forum does not appear on the "Community Stats" bar. Is that intentional or did I miss a step? As always, thanks for your help.

Smileys, which have been posted recently, are not recognized. Also, the recent posts collumn is sort of messed up, all scrambled. In addition, it takes an aweful long time to open the forum, and after it finally opens, it takes a while for some posts to open as well. My other administrator for the forum does not appear on the Community Stats widget.

I noticed that some members can not log in since the changes have been made.

Is there a way to move posts from one category to another? Some of my members have posted some in the wrong categories and I'd like to move them to the appropriate ones. Thanks.

I am trying to add an image in the layout panel, but, after I upload it, it never shows up. I had one once, but I had to remove it due to that the letters were not readable. It would be great if I could upload just one image in an separted area, without any lettering in the fore- or background. Like having a separte frame of sorts. One not in the Header, rather then on the left and/or right of it. Thanks.

How can the members send PM's through the forum? I've been trying to figure that out for some time now.

Is a feature available where we can categorize the categories? It would help members to find certain categories somewhat easier, rather then scrolling around trying to find one they are looking for. Also, some of the pages are getting very long, which can be cumbersome at the ones with a lot of replies. Is there a way that, after a certain amount of replies, a page can be added?? Thanks.

It would be nice if the administrators could decide on individual basis if a membbership request could be granted. Just thought.

In addition, just got of the phone with one of my members, and he ask if it would be possible to have some feature that shows visitors, i.e. how many have visited the site as well as if there are visitors currently on the forum.

Members of my forum have asked for a chat room, which is linked directely to the forum. Would that be possible in the neard future? BTW, is there a way that I can customize the layout, i.e. the background, colors, etc.?
